One year later and it's all happening again for the UTEP track team.
Exactly 12 months after freshman Emmanuel Korir threw down a mind-blowing marker that signaled his arrival to America with a world-record indoor 600 meters of 1:14.97, he doesn't even have the UTEP school record any more.
That now belongs to sophomore Michael Saruni, who at the very same meet in Albuquerque tossed a gauntlet of his own with a 1:14.79 that stands as the new world record.
