Another Eagles OC candidate sends them packing with withdrawing name from job

It's a tale as old as time: The Philadelphia Eagles getting a withdrawal from consideration for the offensive coordinator role.

The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported that the Eagles interviewed LSU offensive coordinator Charlie Weis Jr. for the same role. Weis has since told the team that he will be staying with the Tigers and their head coach, Lane Kiffin.

When the first news came out about the Eagles' offensive coordinator job, Weis got a lot of attention for potentially being a candidate. There was a connection there as Weis coached Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts when the two were together at Alabama.
