The Ohio State football team fell short of its goal of winning back-to-back national championships. Losing consecutive games to Indiana and Miami is how they finished the season. While those two teams ended up playing for the national title, that doesn't make them feel any better about how things ended up.
Jeremiah Smith is particularly unhappy with how the season ended. He missed a block on the pick-six during the Cotton Bowl that flipped the entire complexion of the game. Smith has been stewing about that play and about how lackluster the offense was against the Hurricanes.
