Jets officially make the offensive coordinator move that felt inevitable

The New York Jets have made it official. After weeks of speculation surrounding the team's offensive coordinator vacancy, the Jets have hired longtime NFL head coach Frank Reich to be Tanner Engstrand's replacement.

Reich has been rumored as a Jets target for weeks, dating back to a time when Engstrand was still with the organization. The Jets were originally eyeing Reich as a veteran assistant to aid their now-former offensive coordinator before ultimately deciding to part ways with Engstrand altogether.

The Jets narrowed their offensive coordinator search down to three candidates who interviewed in person this week: Reich, Greg Roman, and Darrell Bevell.
