Player Upgrades are wait-and-hold prospects for the bottom of your lineup. A bench player with some favorable matchups or a young player who could blossom into a starter in the second-half of the season.
QB Derek Carr, Oakland Raiders
Scout Fantasy reporter Eric McClung called it in last week’s “Deep Sleepers” article. Derek Carr was one to watch out for in Week 3 against the Browns. Now, for the first time since 2002, a Raiders’ quarterback has put up back-to-back 300-yard games. Amari Cooper topped 100 yards in the first half against the Browns and their quarterback-wide receiver relationship seems to be blossoming as well as any Raider fan could have hoped.
