After using a gray shirt year in 2013, UNLV Rebels wide receiver Devonte Boyd burst onto the scene last season as a playmaking freshman, and this year has high expectations as he enters the Mountain West Top 50 list at number five. The talented sophomore is coming off a season where he caught 65 passes for 980 yards and four touchdowns. The 2014 Mountain West Freshman of the Year and freshman All-American will be the center of attention in the Rebels offense this season, and his presence as a star has been noticed. Boyd has been named first team All-Mountain West this preseason by ESPN, Phil Steele and Lindy's.
