MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis women's golf team fired a day three 288 to finish fifth at the 17-team Lady Paladin Invitational at Furman University in South Carolina, Sunday. Host Furman won the event with an 857, followed by Daytona State at 867. Memphis finished four strokes behind Middle Tennessee (875) for the top five finish.
Memphis had three players finish in the top 20 led by Michaela Fletcher's eighth place finish. For the second straight day, Fletcher carded an even par 72 to finish with a 215 (-1). Sydney Colwill finished in a tie for 12th with a day three 70, her best round of the event, to finish at 219 (+3).
