LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The University of Memphis women's basketball team dropped the final game of the Play4Kay Showcase to Kent State by a score of 70-55 Saturday afternoon. Memphis falls to 1-6 on and year with three home games coming up on the schedule.
How It Happened
The Tigers hit their first two shots of the game on a jumper by Brea Elmore and a three-pointer by Taylor Barnes. The first quarter then saw Kent State pull ahead due to a 9-0 run through the heart of the quarter.
