The Los Angeles Dodgers have given many of their star players a chance to get ready for the season in Cactus League play thus far, but one big name is still missing: Mookie Betts.
Betts hasn’t appeared in the first week of spring training games, and manager Dave Roberts said it’s unlikely Betts will play until at least Sunday.
“Whether it’s Sunday or might be early next week, it’s day-to-day, but it won’t be before Sunday,” Roberts said.

Roberts said the decision to keep Betts off the field is “intentional,” as the team “wanted him to ramp up a little bit later” and begin his offseason work later than usual.
