Florida State football decided that it was time to add another coach to the defensive line this offseason. As a result, they acquired Syracuse's Nick Williams as an assistant to help with the defensive ends.
The Seminoles have struggled at times to generate much talent in that area. Florida State did add eight prospects on the defensive line in the 2026 class, so some of them are bound to work out in Tallahassee. However, Florida State is trying to make anything and everything work right now.
The pressure is on to succeed at a high level after they combined to muster seven wins in two years.
