Over the past year or so, Donovan Mitchell's impending contract extension has -- once again -- been a major talking point among Cleveland Cavaliers fans. The former Utah Jazz star guard previously signed an extension in Cleveland, but he only has one more year left in his contract before a player option for the 2027-28 season.
Just like the first time, most reports state that the lack of progress regarding an extension hints at Mitchell's desire to leave. And, just like the first time, chances are this is just smoke, and he'll wind up putting pen to paper again.
