Clemson Dispatches of PC, Extends Winning Streak

CLEMSON — Jarron Purify and Tryston McCladdie both drove in two runs for Clemson as the No. 15 Tigers dispatched of Presbyterian 6-2 in midweek action on Tuesday at Doug Kingsmore Stadium. Erik Bakich’s team has now won eight straight to start the season.

Purify went 2-for-3 with a double and also scored a run. McCladdie finished 2-for-4, while Nate Savoie and Jason Fultz Jr each had run-scoring hits.

Freshman Dylan Harrison went three scoreless in his first career start for Clemson (8-0), allowing just one hit, while striking out one and walking one. Fellow freshman Eston Simpson pitched two scoreless innings in relief of Harrison, allowing one hit, while striking out two.
