CLEMSON — Due to suffering an injury just before the start of the season last year, Dane Moehler is still waiting to make his Clemson debut.
Last February, the right-handed hurler sustained an elbow injury that required surgical repair, and while the battle back to the mound has been difficult, he’s getting closer with each passing week.
As the Tigers opened up preseason practice on Tuesday, head coach Erik Bakich provided an update on the redshirt freshman.
“He is progressing,” Bakich said. “He will probably be on the Talan Bell plan of last year.”
Like Moehler, the left-handed Bell dealt with the same type of injury in the past, which caused him to miss the first few weeks of the 2025 season.
