BREMEN, Ind. — Take one look at last year’s roster after the Class 2A state title match, and you could’ve predicted this: Wapahani is making a return trip to Worthen Arena to defend its crown.

While it surely wasn’t as easy as some might think, the top-ranked Raiders have made sure those predictions came true. Wapahani topped Rochester in four sets (25-22, 22-25, 25-18, 25-11) Saturday night at the Bremen Semi-State and will go for a second straight 2A crown next Saturday against Covenant Christian.

“I felt like it was coming – obviously it’s not a given, but I knew we had a really good chance,” said Skyler Van Note, who racked up 25 kills and 24 digs.
