Purdue Picks Up 9-2 Win Over Ball State

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – Host Purdue scored in five of its eight at-bats to cruise to a 9-2 win over the Ball State baseball team Tuesday evening at Alexander Field.

The Boilermakers (6-27) scored three runs in the third inning to take the lead for good. Nick Dalesandro came up with the only hit of the inning, but it proved to be a big one. Purdue’s left fielder doubled down the right field line with two outs to score two runners and give the home team a 4-2 lead.

Purdue went on to score two runs in the fourth, one in the fifth and two more in the seventh to pull away.
