Burris has watched this play out before.
The the Owls (11-1-4) take on Crawfordsville (11-3-2) in the first round of the Heritage Christian Regional on Thursday, and the opponent is a common foe.
Last season, Burris took out the Athenians in the same round before winning the regional championship against Heritage Christian.
Second year Burris coach Harald Leusmann thinks the similarities end there. Yes, it's the same school, but with different players on both teams, he doesn't think last season's win gives his team too much extra confidence.
"We're able to match up against any team, so I don't know if getting them is really an advantage or disadvantage," Leusmann said.
