PARKER CITY, Ind. — When the season began, Monroe Central's goal was to win sectionals.
After beating the Tri-Central Trojans 42-0, the Golden Bears are one win away from reaching that goal now that they advance to the sectional championship.
From the first snap to the last, Class 1A No. 5 Monroe Central (11-0) controlled the tempo. Its offense walked up and down the field while its defense stymied the Tri-Central offense.
"The offense operates so well," Monroe Central quarterback Casey Conatser said. "We're all good friends and the line is a big part. We wouldn't be able to do all this without the line.
