Golf Center Groundbreaking Set for Thursday

MUNCIE, Ind. -- Ball State University will hold a groundbreaking ceremony Thursday afternoon for the Earl Yestingsmeier Golf Center.

The event will be held at the site of the future campus home of the Ball State golf programs, between the Alumni Center and Northside Middle School on Bethel Avenue. The groundbreaking is open to the public and will begin at 4 p.m., with a reception to follow.

Perking will be available via the second access road west of the middle school.

The facility will be approximately 6,400 square feet and feature two indoor hitting bays for four players, a hitting simulator bay, a 2,200 square foot putting and chipping area, locker and restroom facilities for the women's and men's golf teams, a meeting/office room, team lounge area and club repair room.
