Former Ball State player released by Bears

Former Ball State basketball player and NFL hopeful Franko House will need to catch on with another team.

House was released from the Chicago Bears on Wednesday after being signed as an undrafted free agent earlier this month, according to a press release from the Bears.

He initially worked out for the Bears this spring before signing.

House's 13.4 points per game was second-best on the team in 2016-17 and was named Second Team All-Mid-American Conference in 2016 and third team in 2017. His 276 career offensive rebounds is the third-most in Ball State history.
