MUNCIE, Ind. - The Ball State University women's tennis team (9-9, 1-4 MAC) earned a thrilling 4-3 match over Western Michigan (11-10, 2-3 MAC) Friday afternoon at the Muncie YMCA Tennis Center.
The Cardinals opened by winning the doubles point over the Broncos. Peyton Gollhofer and Victoria Sec would trail at No. 2 doubles at the beginning of play but quickly took back ownership and would go on to beat Denise Azcui and Melina Lyubomirova, 6-3. Ball State had the leads on courts one and two but it would be Sarah Swiderski alongside Isabelle Dohancis that would clinch the early lead for the Cardinals.
