PORTLAND— Delta senior Tanner Lambert made his first start at quarterback, but it didn't seem like he had never started.
With his team already ahead in the second quarter against Jay County, Lambert dropped back and pump faked to his right like a wily veteran, freezing the corner.
Lambert then threw a deep strike to Rylan Sullivan, who scored a 46-yard touchdown. It was one of the many big plays Lambert made in Delta’s 33-6 win over Jay County in the season opener.
"The defense looked good, the offense looked good, it's hard to complain," Lambert said.
