MUNCIE, Ind. — There was little fancy or intricate about the Harrison (West Lafayette) offense.
For the most part, it consisted of handing the ball off to Dawson Dahnke and watching his 6-foot-2, 205-pound frame rumble up the middle.
But it worked. It chewed the clock; it picked up first downs.
Most of all, it kept the usually dangerous Class 5A No. 9 Central (5-1) offense off the field in a 20-15 loss to Harrison (4-2).
Bearcats' quarterback Trenton Hatfield is used to throwing darts all over the field. Friday night, he spent more time watching on the sideline than conducting the offense.
