MUNCIE, Ind. — It was a minor play, so much so that Central fans may not have even noticed. But with just a few minutes left and the Bearcats running their spread offense to bleed the clock, JaJuan Wells got the ball down low. Instead of going up for a shot, Wells quickly got the ball back outside so Central would retain possession.
It wasn’t the flashy, explosive style of play Central fans have become accustomed to over the years, but the Bearcats made smarter plays in a much-needed 52-42 win over visiting Delta on Wednesday night.
“All we need is confidence and to believe in ourselves,” said Christian Wells, who scored a game-high 22 points.
