DeKALB, Ill. – The Ball State baseball team split a Friday doubleheader at Northern Illinois, dropping the opener by a score of 3-2, but rebounding to take the finale, 4-3. The Cardinals wrap up the 2016 regular season with a record of 32-24.
Junior Alex Call was a major factor in the win as the right fielder went 3-for-5 with a home run, double and two RBIs. He led off the game with his team-leading 13th home run. In the fifth, Call ripped an RBI double down the left field line to give the Cardinals a 2-1 lead.
